A massive thank you to Sophie Hall Artist for her hard work in the hot sun this morning to produce this joyously fabulous artwork.
We are at the start of our 10 year celebrations tonight with the incomparable Triple J Music.
Monday we have our 10 Year Tester Quiz stylishly hosted by Harry Chalmers-Morris (still a few places available)
Thursday we team up with At The Kitchen for our legendary Beer and Food pairing event. Tickets still available if you’re quick.
Friday is the actual anniversary so all Bollington beers will be at 2015 prices and there will be a bit of a knees up with mystery guests.
And the week ends with the return of Jamsalana Steel Drum Band to bring Caribbean vibes to the end of the week.
A pretty fantabulous way to start the build-up to our 10th anniversary celebrations, The wedding of the official ‘Made in Chiv’ couple, Katie and Tom.
Katie was among the first of our original bar staff, rising to Assistant Manager, she was with us for 5 years. Tom was best mates with another of our bar staff, Tony. Tom walked into our bar, and the rest is history.
Congratulations you absolute stars!!! We are so proud, we are fit to burst.
From all The Chiv Teams, past and present.
(Be aware, from tomorrow, the 10th Year Spam will commence, once the hangovers have worn off).
In our continuing quest to bring you ‘art in unexpected places’ we commissioned the uber talented Sophie Hall Artist to create a fabulous tribute to Cheadle Hulme and Mellor Road in particular.
This stunning piece of work is positioned around our void railings on our first floor Chiv Next Level. It features The Chiv, alongside MyHQ and Waterhouse’s Quality Food and other iconic local landmarks, interwoven with the unmistakable Seven Arches bridge.
You can also get a sneak peek of this fabulous work from the bar. So next time you order your pint, take a step back (with care), look up through the void and enjoy the vista.
Christmas may be peeping over the pump clips, but you’ve still time to buy those last minute gifts.
In fact, you’ve up until midnight on Christmas Eve, or even before the King’s Speech on the actual day.
Because a Chivmas Christmas never stops.
(And we couldn’t resist another glimpse of our Supermodel Paulie AKA PDempsey)

Why keep celebrating staff birthdays?
Well, because when your staff are as mint as our lot are, you can’t help but keep toasting their greatness.
And this guy is minty-er (and smoother) than the first, longed for Christmas After Eight* Mint.
Happy birthday Ben. We hope the rain doesn’t spoil whatever is filling your day.
*other mints are available
Happy birthday to this absolute star!!
Such a busy lady, but she still finds time to grace our bar at weekends (in between her hiking and wild swimming!!)
She’s been with us for almost 6 years now!! Dippy, funny (in fact blooming hilarious), always a smile and a happy word for customers and she is a fiercely loyal friend to The Chiv and all who sail in her.
She won’t be joining us this weekend (for obvious reasons) but her drinks board will be there to be filled in her absence.
Cheers to our Southern Belle, Sandyrah!
He’s the guy with the sunshine smile. Small in stature but big on personality, who is reaching, not so much a big age, as a ‘State of Dignity’ (which he’ll lose very quickly if you play Bette Midler).
And today he’s throwing a party/having a shindig/getting lairy, all in one place.
....and if the playlist includes a bit of Sheena or Olivia, no one will complain (ok, maybe Bob).
Happy Birthday Our Paulie!!
Nine years ago, we opened our doors to you wonderful lot and poured our first pint. We had a dream to bring something different to Cheadle Hulme. We had no idea about how thirsty, curious or downright adventurous you’d all be, but you haven’t disappointed.
As we enter out tenth year of trading, we are still just as excited, just as hungry, to bring you the best in British craft ales, and there’s still so much more out there to try.
To celebrate the completion of nine years, we’d like to give you just under 365 days notice, a ‘Save The Date’ if you like, to join us in a party beyond compare on 15th & 16th May 2025 when we will celebrate and say thank you to all of you for keeping our little dream alive.
For now, thank you for nine stupendous years. We have a lot of plans. The tenth is going to get even better.
It's a New Year and a proper early start to the ChivStaff Birthdays Hullabaloo.
You'll all know Claire by now. She's been gracing our bar for quite a few months. Her smiling serenity has been a welcome sight for many of our regulars.
For us, she's The Gin Queen. Single handedly taking on the task of tasting all the bottles on our shelves - not all on the one night we hasten to add 😉. Going above and beyond is typical of our Claire.
And as you'll see from the photos, she's nothing but class and sophistication off the bar too (but that's only because she's dodged the blackmail photos so far - maybe next year eh?)
Hope you have a fabulous day Claire, from your Chiv Family xx
To all of you who've walked through our door,
Stayed for one, or quaffed a few more,
Chatted with friends or a quiet pint alone,
Done early doors or got the last taxi home,
We want to say thank you for all your support,
And to give to you all this warm seasonal thought,
To us, you are all the publican's dream
Merry Christmas to you, from Bob and the team
A million thanks xxxxx
Absolutely at your wits end about finding that ideal stocking filler, table surprise gift or last minute finishing touch? Come take refuge by our twinkly tree of gift ideas and you'll find inspiration takes hold.
We've branded glasses, our 'design your own' spirit mini selections and of course, our beer gift packs. Also, when getting in those special beers for Christmas Dinner, why not present them to your guests in a Beer Cracker? Colourful and practical.
We've stocked up on our Chiv t-shirts and, of course, the perfect warm up for your guests (or just yourselves) is our special Chiv Brew mulled wine which can be taken away in 1 and 2 litre bottles.
And even better, you do all your shopping with a drink in hand and no wrapping!!
We've declared Christmas early this year. But when you've the talented The Doodlebuggers on site to 'merry up' the windows, you can't deny the Christmassy vibes.
To celebrate, we've started serving our Chivmas secret recipe, extra boozy Mulled Wine. Hot and spicy it will chase away the chills.
Also available in 1 and 2 litre bottles for a Christmas Day treat. Pre-orders taken at the bar
Many of you may already know that our Bob isn't from round these parts.
He was born and raised in a little known town on the North East Lincolnshire coast called Grimsby. @officialgtfc
Today sees a clash between The Hatters of Stockport County and The Mariners of Grimsby Town.
Who will Bob be supporting? The town that bred him or the town that's fed him??
Many of you may also know that Bob's sister in law, Kate, is a die hard County fan. @stockportcountyofficial
There will be drinking and merriment in The Chiv later for one or the other.
Mary is staying very quiet.....
(Photo - Bob, Kate and Mary in happier times)
Congratulations to Jenny and Adam on their splendid nuptials yesterday.
Many of you will remember Jenny working behind our bar during and after lockdown before returning to pursue her chosen career.
We had a fabulous time celebrating at the wedding and we wish you so much happiness in your future together ❤️
It's been a while since our last Beer and Food Pairing, but this time we are back with a BANG!! 🎉
Mark your calendar for Thursday 2nd November at 7.15pm, when, in partnership with the excellent At The Kitchen, we'll be capturing the flavours of Bonfire Night.
Four small plates, paired with four expertly chosen beers, together summing up the sights, smells and tastes of November bonfires and explosive fun (without the cowering pets and ear defenders).
Tickets are £32.50 per person. Don't be fooled by the 'small plates' description, this is fine dining and no one goes home hungry.
As for the beers - we suggest the car stays home.
Call 0161 485 4149. These events sell out quickly, so don't hesitate!
We can see clearly now the crack is gone.
It's taken a while to sort this window due to its size but ERC building services were absolutely up to the job.
There were a few 'gulp' moments but the whole job was done and dusted, with very little mess, in 2 hours, so we were ready for opening at 12pm on a busy Friday.
Question is, do we add frosting or leave it open for a little people watching gap?
Let us know! @ercbuildingservices
She didn't want a fuss. So in accordance with her wishes, we're making no fanfares, no trumpets and no fond farewells.
It's Kate's last shift tonight. Byee.
JOKING!!! SORRY KATE. YOU'RE GETTING THE LOT!!
🥂🍻🍺🥃🍹🎺🎺🎺🎺🔔📣📢📣📢🎸🎸.
You will be madly missed, but enjoy the slower pace of life (boring!!), the chance to take a breath (boring!) and smell the clover (boring) and we'll hold the position open for when you've had enough of all that!!!
Bob will be bereft. Who can he aim his 'disappointed' look at now?
Update: Unfortunately, Mary has been postponed and Mr Wetherspoon himself will be on the show. Regardless, it’s an important issue and we were chuffed to have been considered.
Our marvellous Mary is back today with Jeremy Vine on Channel 5 sometime between 11:15 and 12:00pm to discuss James May’s recent article in The Times: “Cheap supermarket booze could destroy traditional pubs”.
Listen in today to see what Mary has to say!

Happy National IPA Day!
This hoppy hootenanny happens on the 1st Thursday of every August. Celebrate this excellent day (and Sandra’s birthday!) with us and a nice pint of Kashpur from Thornbridge & Salopian or Juice Rocket from Three Blind Mice Brewery. Like an IPA with a bit more bite? Try a 6.5% from Verdant.
@thornbridge @salopianbrewery @3blindmicebrew @verdanttbrew
It's that time of year when we whoop, yell and celebrate our own Southern Belle, the irrepressible Saahrndra Sandra Dorney.
The longest serving member of our current staff, we would be be lost without her infectious good humour and good natured professionalism.
She's also a darned good drinking buddy.
Happy birthday Sandra. We love you!!
Take Out To Table.
We don't do hot food but YOU can have hot food in our pub.
Order a delivery or grab a take out from any of the excellent establishments in the area and eat at your table.
Or, as some enterprising regulars did last week, bring your own cheese board, crackers etc and have a mini picnic.
It's your choice. Whether you're watching the pennies or fancy a one stop night, we're happy to accommodate your munchy needs.
We're happy to provide the grappling irons and table coverings to go with, if you want the 'fine dining' experience 😉.
So we do the booze but you can BYOF!!
Happy birthday shout out to PAUL!!
He's only been with us a few months but already we couldn't imagine the bar without him - so don't even think about it, eh Mr D.
Shy, retiring and wouldn't say 'boo to a goose' is NOT how we'd describe this Chiv grafter. His fun and enthusiasm since joining the crew has been fantastic, so much so, that you've even had Bob contemplating putting Sheena on the playlist (but it's still a no 😉).
So glad you joined our team and TRY to enjoy the limelight today - we know it'll be tough.
Let’s try that one again 🤣
Happy National Pinot Grigio Day! 🥂
Why not celebrate today (or any day really) with a nice light-bodied glass of this delicious wine and marvel at its ability to be paired with just about anything, or just enjoyed simply on its own.
Pinot not your bag? Don’t worry, we have some other delicious options for your tastbuds.
W E A R E E I G H T 🎂
Well, well, can you believe it.
Eight years ago today, our pub was opened to Cheadle Hulme by the cutest doorman ever known.
And just like little Isobel, it's gone on to thrive and grow beyond our modest ambition of a one roomed pub.
To celebrate, we've had a few touch ups and upgrades done and there will be more to come over the next few months.
We don't ever take your custom and support for granted, so we like to try and keep the place fresh and bright for our Chiv community.
As always, an unqualified 'thank you' to all who have come and gone over the last eight years. We started Chiv, but you've made it.
She's only gone and done it!!
A while ago we asked the very talented Sophie Hall Portraits to design a mural for us. We wanted something that summed us up and celebrated what we are about.
We are so chuffed with the result. And it's brightened up the pub's second most frequented area (second only to the bar).
So, for anyone paying a visit TO our pub, paying a visit IN our pub is now a delightful experience. @sophiehallartist
As you can see by the cheeky hat motif, we're starting the early Christmas vibes and whetting your appetite for gift ideas.
First up, how about sending your dearest and far-est a momento of your friendly local?
We have copy prints in card format of the stunning painting done by Katie Patel Art of The Chiv front at night.
Beautufully printed, and just £3 per card, they can double as a gift if you find the right frame.
Look back tomorrow for more 'off the wall' gift ideas......😉
Birthday time again.
This time it's our Southern Belle who struck it lucky up in the North (well we like to think so).
She's the lady who literally has pubs in her blood (and that's not just the red wine). She also runs an excellent photography training business, can teach English as a foreign language, is a wild swimming fanatic and can sniff out a good veggie pizza within a two mile radius.
Never under estimate our Sandyrah!!
Happy birthday Blondie.
Can't think why you wanted the day off though......
This excellent beer from local brewers Thirst Class Ale was first appreciated by Bob at The Stockport Beer & Cider Festival last month and he recognised it as a winner.
It hit our pumps Thursday and was drunk dry by Friday night.
It all goes to prove that these festivals aren't just about boozing and schmoozing. @thirstclassale
We're having a last Pink Push to the end of May to get as much money in for Prevent Breast Cancer.
So we are giving you the chance to get hold of one of our Chiv in the Pink t-shirts for £22.50, with all proceeds going to the Paint Cheadle Hulme & Bramhall Pink campaign.
We've small, medium and extra large still available, but not for long so get in quick.
Feel bright and stylish in the happiest pink possible and for a great cause.
Now We Are Seven!!!
We're rounding off the May birthdays with our own big celebration.
16th May 2015 we opened our doors and we've never looked back.
We've seen so many changes and times have been a tad turbulent just recently but 'what doesn't kill you....' as they say.
We owe it all to our excellent beers, excellent staff and excellent clientelle.
Join us this Saturday for our Pub of the Year celebration and we'll raise a toast to you all.
Chiv's still standing!!
Stockport Gin have consistently produced an excellent range which we've been proud to stock, but their Twist of Lime has been particularly popular. Here's why.
Congratulations to all the team Stockport Gin. Well deserved
https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/food-drink-news/stockport-gin-named-best-britain-23881959
@stockportgin
Another Chiv Birthday Bawl Out.
This Beaut has been in it from the start.
Rachel has made regular guest appearances behind our bar but has recently been busy building her own little family; holding down a full on, full time job; indulging in a little Am Dram and baking cakes more devine than the Blessed Mary (Berry) herself.
Oh and she's created the 'Stitch' behind 'Silly Little Stitch' .
She's been busy!
And as a sideline she helps us with our social media and website follies!!
Have a lovely day Mrs Smith!! (so much more gumption than Angelina Jolie)
Let the Pink Chaos Begin!!
The bunting is out and our first Pink Drinks have been declared.
Each week of May, we will be selecting pink themed offerings on our bar and giving the profits on those drinks to the Prevent Breast Cancer fund.
This week we're donating on our Rose selection and our Red Willow Table Saison Damson.
We'll be holding many Pink promotions over May so keep watching our feeds.
When you drink, think Pink!!
Paint Cheadle Hulme & Bramhall Pink
Happy birthday to this beauty!!
She's been shirking bar shifts just recently because she's busy distilling her own little small batch, unique spirit due out this month.
Cath is, understandably, avoiding the hard stuff, but if you want to leave one on the slate for her we'll make sure it gets to her after the event (or possibly drink it on her behalf at the Baby Shower 😉).
Have a wonderful day, Cath xxx
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB🍻
Once again, the chance to give a huge shout out to this man comes around!
The absolute 'Engine Room' of the Chiv, he's the man in the background we'd all be lost without.
And this year his birthday has fallen on his favourite day of the week...Beer Buying Day!!
He's never happier than when he's hunting through the hundreds of brewery emails he gets to bag the best of the best for our thirsty customers. It's his passion and mission and he never fails.
Here are a few photos of Bob doing other happy things.
We are looking to add to our team.
We pride ourselves on our great service and friendly professionalism is at the heart of our ethos.
We've a space for 2 - 3 shifts per week (between 12 & 20 hours).
If you feel you'd be a good fit behind our bar then drop us in a CV either in person or to bob@thechivertontap.co.uk.
Experience is preferred but full training can be given. Good people skills and the ability to keep a smile on your face is a good start. Although we do have some of the loveliest customers.....!!
Then hopefully, like us, you'll love what you do!!
Mother's Day drinkies?
We'd like to offer our regulars a chance to book a 'Mother Table' this Sunday between 12 and 3pm.
A reserved table with no need to move to the bar, table service with a smile and, weather permitting, first dibs at the outside seating.
If you're a frequent visitor, just give us a call with details and numbers and we'll get you booked in. A personage in the 'Mother' category being in your party is obviously pretty much essential!!
No chaps in their Grandma's bonnets accepted.
Just call 0161 485 4149 and ask for the 'MotherTable' treatment.
Let's talk about this Chap.
Tall, enigmatic and utterly unflappable - that's our Lewis.
And unfortunately for us, he's working his last shift tonight.
A career beckons in the world of Graphic Art and he can't contain his talent any longer.
Thanks for gracing our bar for the last 8 months Lewis. We've loved having you!!
🇮🇪🇮🇪LIMITED AVAILABILITY 🇮🇪🇮🇪
The countdown is on!!
Just two weeks to go to our Beer and Food Pairing with just a hint of the Irish about it.
Four stunning small plates of food from the At The Kitchen team, paired with the perfect beer accompaniment, heavenly enough to please St. Patrick himself.
Thursday 17th March at 7pm. £25 per head.
Shamrocks and Leprechaun costumes optional.......😉
Throughout March we'll be scattering the odd 'Chiv Fun Fact' in our posts.
Our first 'Did you know....' takes us straight to the top!!
Did you know there are 39 steps up to our top floor (there's a novel in there, somewhere).
This does mean that when we have to get something from the top office, that's 78 steps added to the pedometer!
No wonder we sometimes look a little flushed when fetching your flagons.
Some illustrative pictures for you to 'stair' at
Don't let #Eunice blow out your Friday fun candle!
Instead, let her breeze you into our warm bar, for shelter and beery comfort.
Or try our new Coconut and Grapefruit gin and get a taste of tropical climes.
And we've a full pie fridge in time for Friday Pie Day, pie and a pint deal, on 'til 5pm.
So hunker down and ride out the storm at The Chiv.
It's time to share the love - even it it means using the 'V' word.
We've plenty of beery gift ideas presented in themed boxes, and unique spirit gift sets.
Need advice? Just ask and we'll throw a few ideas together. Bespoke is our forte.
And for the really picky punter, we've gift vouchers a plenty.
Utterly heartbroken to have to say goodbye to the original Chiv Dog Legend, Hugo.
This epic Retriever, the perfect combination of gentleman and bandit, is now sleeping.
Whether stretched across the floor, usually in the most inconvenient place, or perched next to the bar, no regular was immune to his unmissable charm.
Gentle and passive, but God help you if you had a pie in your hands!! No highwayman was ever more effective at persuading you to hand over the goods. Stand and Deliver at its canine best.
But best of all was his sheer stubborn refusal to leave the pub! We hope it's because he loved us as much as we loved him (but perhaps an element of just wanting to stay warm and comfortable....😉).
Sleep well you complete Legend!!
Happy birthday to the lass who has successfully made the move from being 'Not Mary', to being 'Our Kate' 🤣.
The sister and her mister could not cope without her hard work, commitment and constant encouragement. Chop her in half, she has Chiv running right through her.
That's not a suggestion though, just buying her a drink will suffice...
Enjoy your day touring round the City of Bath, Kate. You deserve a blast of a time!!!
Today we lose another of our fabulous team to the world of fame, fortune and media, following on from Harry Chalmers-Morris to LAMDA and Georgia Simpson to ITV Production.
We wish our Daniel Hickman all the luck in the world as he starts his career at the BBC as a Production Apprentice.
Chances like this are as rare as hen's teeth so this is an amazing opportunity. We could not be more pleased.
May all your dreams come true, Dan.
Another daily opening hours update for you! (Sadly, no Chris Witty or "next slide please" in our daily updates).
Due to ongoing staff isolation, our hours are slightly tweaked for the next few days. Each day, we will let you know what the plan is.
Today, Wednesday 5th January, we will be open from 4pm - 8pm.
Thanks for your understanding.
OPENING HOURS UPDATE
After a cracking Christmas and New Year, we've got our first couple of staff in isolation and it's left us a bit thin on the ground.
So, although today we'll be open as planned from 2pm, we hope you understand that we'll be calling time at 8.30pm this evening.
We'll be taking it day to day, but we hope to keep the Chiv course steady and keep the beer flowing.
So far, New Year is still on!!!
We'll be open til 1am, with the usual fun, games and ultimately a house party sing along ('cause the staff sing like angels).
We'll have board games out and packs of cards (suitably quarantined) scattered around.
The beer will be flowing and lush, the wine delicious and fruity, the spirits plentiful and the staff...all of the above!
And the legendary Toffee Vodka shots at midnight.
Stay safe
Well here it is!!
And we really hope we can help make it 'Merry Christmas'.
Thank you to each and everyone of you. The regulars, the monthly quaffers, the occasional pop ins, the clubs, the groups, the friends, the families.
Your support means more than you will ever know!!
Happy, happy Christmas xxx
****Mashing of a well known saying alert****
Covid is what happens while you are busy making other plans!
If your plans change, we understand.
We understand that 'Mad Friday' may turn into 'Slightly Peeved Day After Thursday'
We know YOU understand that in hospitality we start planning for Christmas from the heady days of Summer. Staff are on shifts. Stock is bought and paid for well in advance ('cause who ever heard of a pub without beer at Christmas). Hours of planning goes into just one evening of Christmassy fun.
So......
If you're a large party, give is a call and let us know you won't need the space we've set aside.
Consider buying some vouchers. You can't buy a round now but your support in other ways is really appreciated.
Have a look online at websites/social media. Do we do gift sets or take out options?
Or maybe give yourselves a few days off Dry January and support us through the early days of 2022.
Most of all, stay safe. Your local needs you!!
Excellent, excellent night at our Beer and Food Pairing Event last night. Thanks to each of you who joined us.
The beers, expertly chosen by Bob, blended superbly with the stunning courses prepared by Angela from At The Kitchen.
Missed this one? We'll be hosting again soon in the New Year.
In the meantime, have a look at what you could have won.....
@atthekitchen5
Magnificent beers ready for tonight's 'Turn Back the Clock' celebration of our March 2020 CAMRA Pub of the Month Award.
Back to a simpler time in pubs when masks were worn only as a humorous disguise, when you only socially distanced after the dog had rolled in something nasty and a booster was part of the night out's pre-lash!
Join us to celebrate and take the opportunity to buy a ticket for our Christmas Beer and Food Pairing event this Thursday. Very few tickets left.
In partnership with the exceptional At The Kitchen.
Four seasonal small plates paired with four beers each chosen to complement the delicious food.
This time we've added an option to swap a beer for a suitable wine for one of the courses.
At £25 per head we think it's an absolute steal.
Our event back in October was a sell out in record time so get in quick!
Places are limited and we've had a lot of pre orders on tickets for this.
DON'T MISS OUT.
CALL 0161 485 4149 TO BOOK YOUR PLACE
@atthekitchen5
Excellent night last night. Thanks to all who turned up to Challenge The Chiv.
Well done to the one man team 'Jim' who smashed the competition and won several rounds of drinks plus a donation of the proceeds (which we've matched to double the total) to his nominated Charity Millie's Trust @milliestrust
A special thanks to Quiz Supremo Lucy, who prepared and hosted for us.
You're a Queen!!
🌲🌲🌲CHRISTMAS FUN ALERT 🌲🌲🌲
December is delightfully eventful here at The Chiv.
Kicking off with our 'It's a Rum Christmas' evening from 4pm this Saturday.
Steel drum band; discount on all our Rums; complimentary rum punch and Jamaican spiced nibbles.
As the month progresses, we will also be hosting a quiz night, carol singers, Christmas singalong and the return of the Beer and Food Pairing night, this time with a Christmas theme.
So much good stuff, and to cap it all, here's your beers!!
THIS SATURDAY 4TH DECEMBER FROM 4PM
It's a Rum Christmas!!
With Music and Style.
To celebrate this most tropical 'Spirit of Christmas' favourite we're showcasing our rum selection to put the warmth back into the weekend.
There'll be....
£1.00 off all rum shots
Complimentary rum punch
Free Caribbean nibbles
And all accompanied by a STEEL DRUM DUO playing seasonal and popular songs with a Caribbean twist
It's Christmas , Chiv Style.
Quick serious post then we'll move back to the fun of beer.
From today our staff will be back in masks as a precautionary measure. We don't require our customers to wear one, as always that's completely down to personal choice.
It's not the most comfortable way to work as we all know, so please give our staff the support they need. Experience tells us nothing is certain and we just want to make sure this situation doesn't escalate and our business gets stopped in its tracks just as we are back up to full speed
Thanking you!!
This Sunday from 7pm.
Throw open your board games cupboard and bring along your favourites.
Or grab a table, a pack of Chiv cards and choose your game. We've got all the rules (if you like to play by them).
Mulled wined and nibbles to kick off the Christmas feel.
Bookings shouldn't be necessary, but give us a shout if you're coming out. We'll make sure we've got room.
Chiv Sundays - the best end to the weekend.
VEGGIE PIES!
We've been looking, for some time, to partner with a local pie company to complement our Pork Pie offering with something for the less meat inclined.
Enter the excellent @theveggiepiecompany. Local and with great credentials.
We've a small sample so get in quick. If popular they will become a CHIVTHING.
4 varieties
2 x Vegetarian : Traditional Cheese and Onion &
Feta, Red onion, potato, pea, cheese and mint
2 x Vegan : Balti vegetable curry and red lentils &
Sweet potato, carrot, courgette, chickpea, coriander, chilli and sumac.
They will NOT be around long!!
Oh What a Night!!!
Our Beer & Food Pairing with @atthekitchen5 last night was a roaring success.
The melt in the mouth flakiness of the Char Siu Sausage Rolls; the delicately sweet punch of the Thai Fishcakes; the flavour packed into the Pulled Pork Sliders, slow cooked in a liquor of hoppy, tropical beer and the luxurious Tiramisu to finish. All paired with 4 carefully chosen beers from British micro brewers.
Thanks so much to all who joined us. The feedback was incredibly positive.
Rest assured we WILL be doing more of these. Don't miss out.
Many of you have been asking when will we be bringing back the board games.
Well we've made a start!!!
Let us know what classics you want to see back on the shelves and we'll get trawling the charity shops.
And for those who are still a bit anxious, we'll be working out a safe storage and lending system. So worry ye not!!!
It's a Chiv Retro thing!!
The weather may be bad news but there's always good news in our bar.
Today is no exception.
Excellent beers to brighten the gloom and our new Gin Flight is off the tarmac.
The Cheshire Collective - Hunters Gin from Knutsford , Stockport Gin and our very own Seven Arches, created in Bramhall.
3 perfect gin shots plus a Fever Tree Tonic for just £10.00.
The best way to explore our Gin Board.
